In April 2023, we received an inquiry for a 50-ton double girder gantry crane from a former Turkish customer. The customer is a professional concrete bridge and large plate girder prefabrication factory with many years of experience. The customer shared their work situation with us. They need a 50-ton lifting capacity truss gantry crane to be used in an open-air environment. This crane will be mainly used to lift concrete bridges.

In this working condition, we first consider MG Truss gantry crane. MG truss double-beam gantry crane is suitable for prefabrication yards and production lines. It can perform high-precision positioning operations, including flipping and assembling prefabricated components. Its lifting range is 40-100 tons, and it can lift heavy components such as 25-meter box girders, plate girders, bridge piers, etc. It can meet the lifting needs of customers.

In addition, MG Truss double girder gantry crane combines double-beam design and truss structure design. This structure has light weight and strong wind resistance. The Truss structure is easy to disassemble and transport, which is very suitable for bridge construction projects. Project Discussion and Identification

After finalizing the design of the 70-ton truss gantry crane, we had an in-depth discussion with the customer on the configuration and accessories. At first, the customer said that the crane would need to travel 100-200 meters each time. After detailed communication, both parties finally confirmed that the crane’s running length was 180 meters. For this purpose, we equipped the crane with 180 meters of track and configured a 100-meter center cable power supply.

During this process, the customer specifically requested the use of SEW or ABM brand motors. Although domestic motors are usually able to meet the technical requirements, customers prefer European motors and are willing to bear the resulting increased costs. Therefore, we finally provided the customer with SEW motors.

Client’s Feedback

After the project was confirmed, our factory arranged the order as soon as possible and started to produce this 50-ton truss gantry crane. The factory completed the 50t truss gantry crane as scheduled. We packed the goods on June 24 and transported them to Qingdao Port for loading. Everything went smoothly during customs clearance and transportation. The customer received the goods on July 10. Our engineers went to Turkey to guide the installation and commissioning at the agreed time. This crane is currently in normal use in lifting prefabricated bridges and plate beams.

Yesterday, the Turkish customer sent us a thank-you email. He shared with us the photos and videos of the bridge lifting operation. He said, “VOITTO Crane’s Truss crane is stable in operation and extremely efficient in operation. It not only saves manpower and material resources, but also greatly improves the lifting efficiency.” He hopes to have opportunities to further cooperate with VOITTO Crane next time.
