Project Overview

Due to the complex geological conditions and narrow construction space, the Xi’an Metro Tunnel Construction Project requires the lifting of large pipe segments and heavy equipment in the shaft. Traditional truck cranes cannot meet the lifting needs in a small space, and the operation in the tunnel requires extremely high safety and precision. For this reason, the construction party decided to purchase a 50-ton gantry crane as the core lifting equipment, responsible for the assembly of pipe segments, the lifting of shield machine components, and the vertical transportation of construction materials.

Project Challenges

Space Limitation: The shaft size is only 15m×10m, and the gantry crane needs to complete large-tonnage lifting in a limited space while avoiding interference with surrounding structures.

Load Safety: The maximum single lifting load of the shield machine cutterhead assembly is 48 tons, and the stability of the crane under full load must be ensured.

Environmental Risks: The humidity and dust in the tunnel are high, and the electrical system and steel structure must be moisture-proof and corrosion-resistant.

Schedule Pressure: The project requires the crane to complete at least 20 lifting cycles per day, and efficiency and reliability become the key.

Safety Optimization: Add an overload limiter, wind speed alarm device, and dual braking system to ensure emergency braking in unexpected situations.

Outcome
