FAQ

How does a hydraulic orange peel grab bucket work?

A hydraulic orange peel grab bucket operates using an internal hydraulic cylinder connected to each flap. When hydraulic pressure is applied, the cylinders extend and force the flaps to close around the material. Releasing the pressure allows the flaps to open. The hydraulic system is powered by a unit mounted on the crane or integrated into the grab body, providing precise and controllable clamping force.

What is the difference between an orange peel grab bucket and a clamshell grab bucket?

A clamshell grab bucket uses two symmetrical jaws and is best suited for fine or medium-sized loose materials such as sand, gravel, and coal. An orange peel grab bucket uses 4 to 8 curved flaps that close in a circular pattern, giving it a larger gripping area and stronger enclosure force. This makes the orange peel grab bucket better suited for heavy, bulky, or irregularly shaped materials like scrap steel or construction waste.

What is an orange peel grab bucket used for?

An orange peel grab bucket is used for lifting and transferring bulk, loose, or irregularly shaped materials such as scrap metal, demolition debris, large stones, coal, grain, and solid waste. It is commonly attached to overhead cranes and gantry cranes in industries including steel, recycling, ports, and mining.

What solution do you have for construction sites without power outlets?

We provide DC battery power system customization. After selecting the high-performance battery pack, the equipment can operate independently without external wires, making it ideal for use in shopping malls, terminals, or new plants that have not yet been electrified.

Is this large Aluminum Alloy Lift Platform convenient to move?

Although slightly larger than the single-mast model, its self-weight is still far lighter than steel scissor lifts due to the use of aerospace-grade aluminum alloy. The machine is equipped with non-marking polyurethane wheels, allowing one or two people to push it easily without damaging epoxy or tile floors.

Can the equipment run safely if the ground is uneven?

The equipment must be used on flat ground. To ensure safety, we provide screw-type support legs for fine-tuning the level and have built-in outrigger interlock sensors; if the ground inclination exceeds the safety range, the system will automatically cut off power to prevent tipping.

Despite the double-mast design, can it still pass through standard indoor doors?

Yes. Although the platform size has increased, its base width remains around 0.8m – 0.9m, allowing it to easily pass through standard indoor double doors and enter most freight elevators.

Can this equipment carry two people working at the same time?

Yes. The double-mast series is specifically designed for two-person collaborative work. The spacious work platform and reinforced hydraulic thrust system ensure that two operators and their tools are lifted steadily, greatly improving construction efficiency.

What is the core advantage of a double mast lift compared to a single mast model?

The core advantage is high-altitude stability and load capacity. The double-mast structure, supported by two sets of parallel aluminum alloy masts, not only increases the load capacity to 200kg (supporting two-person operation) but also significantly reduces the sway at high positions, providing a more stable working feel.

Do you support customization of the power supply (such as battery power)?

Yes. In addition to standard AC 220V/110V power, we provide DC battery power or AC/DC dual power customization to meet outdoor or mobile operation scenarios without external power access.
