In January 2026, VOITTO Crane received an email inquiry regarding a 20 ton overhead bridge crane. The client operates a large-scale warehousing and industrial park facility in Egypt, serving as a critical hub for heavy material handling, transportation, and circulation across multiple production and storage zones. Day-to-day operations involve the constant loading, unloading, and repositioning of heavy industrial goods — work that demands powerful, reliable, and precise lifting equipment.

As the facility’s operational capacity expanded, the client identified a significant bottleneck: production throughput was limited due to a lack of dedicated overhead cranes, which increased the risks associated with manual handling and reduced overall on-site efficiency. After receiving an inquiry via email from the client, we promptly reached out to them. We then held a video conference to discuss their operational conditions and lifting requirements. Following our discussions and after gaining a clear understanding of their needs, VOITTO faced the following project challenges.

• Precision operation requirements under heavy loads. The facility must handle heavy industrial materials, with significant variations in load types and distribution. The equipment must be capable of stable, controlled lifting operations under loads of up to 20 tons while maintaining high positioning accuracy during material transfer.
• Harsh operating environment. Egypt’s climatic conditions present numerous challenges, including extremely high ambient temperatures, severe dust exposure, and fluctuating humidity levels. Consequently, the equipment must be designed to ensure stable performance and a long service life even under these harsh conditions.
• Cross-border compliance and logistics challenges. Exporting heavy industrial machinery to Egypt requires not only strict adherence to Chinese export standards but also compliance with Egyptian import regulations. Compliance requirements encompass the preparation of various documents, the processing of relevant certifications, and customized packaging to ensure safe maritime transport.
• Customized adaptation to the site structure. The client’s existing workshop features specific span dimensions and a unique layout of track beams. The design of the overhead crane must be precisely tailored to these on-site parameters; standard off-the-shelf configurations cannot be simply applied.

This packaging solution is specifically designed for both Less-than-Container Load (LCL) and Full-Container Load (FCL) sea transport, thereby minimizing the risk of cargo damage during long-distance transit.

Controlo inteligente: The crane is equipped with a variable frequency drive (VFD) system, enabling smooth start-up and stop operations as well as precise speed control. This significantly reduces mechanical stress and greatly improves load positioning accuracy.
